In the Greenhouse, early Spring:
Our greenhouse is where we start all of our own seedlings for our field crops, such as broccoli, cabbage and onions.
We also have a small selection of tomato plants available in the Spring, for you to plant in your own gardens! Our tomato plants are available via online pre-order from March-April, check back to place your pre-order in the Spring!
We also start Basil plants in the Spring, which we sell in 6 inch pots. These are available for sale at our farm store, our farmers’ market booth, Butcher Boys Grocery Store (Vernon), the BC Tree Fruits Market (Kelowna) and Paynters’ Fruit Market (West Kelowna).
Fresh from our farm:
Broccoli — July through October
Our extra-large, tender heads of broccoli are freshly harvested and delicious.
Beets — July through December
Round and cylindrical beets, deep dark red roots that are sweet and delicious. In July, they’re harvested with the greens on, ready for steaming.
Carrots — Year Round [first of the season harvest in late-June, and stored throughout the winter months!]
We are most known for our Super Sweet Carrots. They really live up to their name! We double wash them right after harvest, so they are sparkling clean, no need to peel, and ready to eat straight away.
Cabbage — July through September
An early season, tender leaf cabbage. Perfect for coleslaw and cabbage rolls!
Corn — Late July through September
A sweet, bi-colour (peaches and cream) style corn. Freshly harvested and very flavourful… and never starchy!
Dillweed — July through October
Perfect for adding to your favourite potato dish (roasted, mashed or potato salad!) and available until frost for all of your pickling needs!
Pickling Cucumbers — July through September
Available in limited quantities, first come first served… Freshly harvested, washed and ready for your canning adventure
Potatoes — July through May
Sieglinde ‘German Butter’ potatoes are yellow flesh and absolutely delicious. They have a thin skin, and are higher starch, so remember to store them in the refrigerator!
Radish — May through July
Zelaney sized radishes are BIG! They’re solid and juicy and have so much flavour: sweet and peppery. The larger radishes are often milder in spice compared to the smaller ones. If you’re a radish fan, you’ll be in for a treat.
Spinach — May through November
Our fresh spinach is harvested daily and comes direct to you, washed and ready to eat. The leaves are tender and so sweet and flavourful, you’ll wonder why you didn’t switch sooner.
